Emergency Communications

The following methods/systems will be used or activated when the first level of emergency communication is activated:

The following methods will be used if the secondary level is activated:

  • Facebook announcements on SUNY New Paltz Page and to all fans when appropriate
  • Send e-mails to all-fs (all faculty/staff) & all-stu (all student) lists
  • Send instant messages to those faculty, staff, and students logged in to the administrative LAN or academic LAN
  • Send voice mails to pre-defined groups to on-campus extensions
  • Potentially activate Outdoor Speaker Array

The following methods will be used if the third level is activated:

  • Produce mass flyers
  • Update electronic message boards in Athletic & Wellness Center, van den Berg Hall, Welcome Center, residence halls
